Me visiting Korea : I

Febuary 8th-16th

Finally! It’s been a while since my last blog, I’ve been traveling to Bandung (hopefully I’ll post the blog soon), and I just haven’t had any chance to update my blog because of the lack of good internet connection at my house.

Anyway, I went to Korea and Macau last month. From the 8th of January to be exact. I am loving it there even though its super cold which made me not able to feel my hand most of the time. Before we (me and tourmates) reached Korea, we have to stay at Taiwan for one night. Unfortunately we didn’t get any chance to explore Taiwan, and we just went straight to the airport next day to reach Korea.

I took this picture from the window on the Korea airport. You just can feel the coldness even though you’re in a building. It about -15 C if I’m not mistaken. But I loved it. I mean, I prefer this rather than the heat in Malaysia. Anyway we went straight to lunch. Btw I ate 3 or 4 times a day. It’s insane compare to me in Indonesia or Malaysia. I usually eat for only 2 times a day. One if I’m super busy.

Before I continue, I have to say that I got so many pictures I can’t upload it all here. But I’ll upload pictures in several places in Korea and Macau that I have most memories of.

The first picture, that was In a football stadium as you can see. Korea used it before for the World Cup Championship. I can’t see the grass because of thesnow, and my tourguide said that to keep the grass alive, they cover it one by one with plastic. Creative isn’t it?

We went to Seoul Tower after the football stadium, but to get to the tower, we have to walk for like 10 minutes, and it’s the road to Seoul tower at the first picture. It was exhausting and cold at the same time, and I almost couldn’t make it because I’m too tired to walk (1# reason to work out from now on). But I want to reach the tower, and so I pushed myself to get there, and I made it. Yippie, but my nose hurt because its cold and I breathed so fast. Hmm, and so we have to wait in line to get in the elevator to reach the top of the tower. It’s almost like the twin tower in Malaysia. So I took a picture from the top of the Seoul tower, and that you can see on the second picture. After spending there for a while, I went down with my family and we walked around the tower. And there’s this place where there were just like so many wishes written down in most of the things there. As you can see from the last picture, there were so many locks, and wishes were written there, and they probably locked it, and hanged it there. It was just so many of these. Literally

We went for dinner after the trip to Seoul Tower, and as you can see, the picture above is what we ate. It was a chicken rice. Like, really chicken rice. You have to dig the chicken to get the rice, because it’s inside it. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s actually kindda cool, and yummy.

The second day in Korea, We went straight to a ski resort to play ski. But before that, we explore the city a little bit, and the two first pictures above are some of the pictures I took there. I really enjoyed bringing my camera there. I just can’t stop taking pictures, it was way to beautiful. Anyway, after exploring the city, we went to Phoenix Park Ski Resort. It was also the place we stayed in. I played ski there, and I’m telling you, it’s not as easy as it looks. I was sweating while I was playing ski! But it was fun, and I would love to ski again someday.

The picture above is the dinner. It was umm, meat plus noodles plus vegetables and a soup. It was actually good but I ate a lot there ( I had to), so i can’t really feel how yummy that food was.

Third day, we were still in the same area, but we just moved to another ski resort to ride on the gondola and cable car. Those two pictures above are the view from the gondola and the cable car.

So, from the cable car, we can reach the mount Sorak. It was the second most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life so far. I was so tired trying to get to the mountain (#2 reason to work out from now on), but when I reached there, I was blown away by it’s beauty and it was just so peaceful there. I wish I could stayed there for a while, but they won’t let me. Anyway I just love it! I hope I can get back there someday.

From the beautiful Mount Sorak, we went down and saw the temple nearby, and as I walked, I saw this huge snowman near the restaurant there. Finally! I got a chance to see mr.snowman. Lol
